I just sent out the invite for the next Learning Community gathering on Student Publishing & Collaboration.
It’s time to get together to see what’s new with the class projects, and to talk about how things are going so far this semester.
I’ve got a few new things to show on UCalgaryBlogs.ca that might help make it more useful and efficient for use in classes, as well as for individuals.
Let’s try Wednesday, November 12, from 10am until we’re done, at the TLC (5th Floor BioSciences).
I’ll provide coffee and tea to help get people awake and talking.
Greetings all, we’ve been publishing collections of student work (real books with ISBN, custom design cover and interior, placed with the major book wholesalers) for 4 years. Last spring we did our first project at the undergraduate level (“An Experiment in Democracy”, ISBN978-0-9800429-4-8) with Indiana University and at the graduate level at Eastern University (“Teaching for Change”, ISBN 978-0-9817264-3-4) this fall. Both books included writing from students and professor(s). If we can contribute or be of service in any way, feel free to contact me.
